  • 4 Chicken leg quarters
  • 1.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Onion powder or granules
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Parsley
  • 1.5 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Mustard Optional
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste

Instructions

  • Here's how to air fry chicken leg quarters in air fryer:
    First, pat the chicken quarters dry with a kitchen towel so as to reduce moisture. 
  • Add the paprika, garlic powder, parsley, black pepper, onion powder, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt in a bowl. Mix well till combined.
  • Brush the marinade all over the chicken making sure to cover all the chicken parts.
    Cover the bowl with clingfilm and put the chicken in the fridge to marinate for 1-4 hours.
  • Arrange the chicken quarters in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Don't overlap.
    Air fry leg quarters at a temperature of 190C/380F for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes, use a tong to flip the chicken quarters and continue to air fry at 190C for 13 minutes or till they are tender inside and skin crispy.
    You will know they are cooked it instant thermometer inserted at the thickest part reads at least 165F/75C.
  • When they are cooked, bring them out of the air fryer. Let them rest for a few minutes, then serve.

Notes

  • Chicken quarters come in different sizes so you might have to adjust the cooking time slightly. The bigger they are, the longer the cooking time.
  • You can use any of your favorite seasonings to season the chicken.
  • Adjust salt and pepper quantity to your preference.
  • Put the seasoned chicken in the fridge to marinate for 60 minutes or up to 8 hours prior to cooking if possible.
  • Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket. Arrange chicken in a single file and not overlap them
  • Adjust salt and pepper to suit your personal taste.
  • Use a tong to flip the chicken after the first 12 minutes of cooking.
  • Rest the chicken for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute inside the meat.
